Lauren Shadid is principal of Lauren Architecture + Interiors. LSA+I is an award-winning firm specializing in custom residential design with an emphasis on sustainability, often by employing the Passive House standard for design.  Lauren’s comprehensive approach integrates design of both the interior and exterior of the home simultaneously.  Lauren is an Architect, Interior Designer and Building Science expert, all in one. This allows for superior continuity during the design and construction of her projects.

Lauren creates beautiful, luxurious, healthy, high-performance homes which allow the occupants and the environment to thrive harmoniously.

Whether designing a home for new construction, or remodeling and adding on to an existing home, Lauren thoughtfully considers the homeowner’s needs. She is valued as her clients’ advocate throughout the process of designing and building their dream home.  She welcome a diverse range of architectural styles  from modern to transitional.  She champions each project from initial concepts through the construction process.  Clients and contractors value Lauren’s attention to detail, responsiveness and collaborative approach which ensures successful projects.

Lauren has been practicing architecture and interior design for over 30 years. In addition to her 20+ years in custom residential design she has experience in historic preservation and high-end corporate interiors. Lauren has been a champion of the environment since early in her career, and became LEED accredited in 2001. Prior to founding her firm LSA+I  in 2003, Lauren worked for world-renowned firms including Gensler Los Angeles, Gensler Washington, DC and Quinn Evans Architects.   

Lauren is licensed in Colorado.  She is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), The U.S. Green Building Council, Colorado Chapter, LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and is a Certified Passive House Designer.  Lauren previously served on the AIA Colorado Sustainability Working Group.
